Feathertide Review
The premise of Feathertide is intriguing and sounds like just the sort of magical experience I look for in a book. It follows Marea and her quest to find her absent father, from whom she has inherited her feathers. She meets a number of interesting people on her journey who lend excitement to the story.
The overall vibe was ethereal and mysterious and I enjoyed it, but I think it would have benefitted from some more polishing. The cityscape setting was very well done, however, and I felt like I was exploring a new world. The middle of the book was enchanting, but I found it difficult to get invested in the beginning or the end. I also would not say it has the same magic as The Night Circus, as the marketing would suggest.
